An alumni of the National School of Drama, Swanand is a renowned lyricist, playback singer and writer for both TV & Hindi films. He has been a two time National Award winner for Best Lyrics for Lage Raho Munnabhai and 3 Idiots. He has sung for movies like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, 3Idiots, Khoyan Khoyan Chand, Parineeta, Gulal & Eklayva amongst others. His hits include songs like “Bawara Mann” (Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi), "Behti Hawaa” (3Idiots), "Bande Me Tha Dum” (Lage Raho Munnabhai), Ala Barfi (Barfi), Navra Majhi (English Vinglish) and music from the film Inkaar amongst others.
